bitches

ignorant bitches on twitter finally pissed me off enough to write in my blog again.

the royal baby arrived. whoop de do. i don't care. non-event.
we kinda knew it was coming.

know what really gets to me? it's all the stupid women out there who haven't had a child that are saying dumbass things like "i still think they didn't get all the babies out of kate. i know she only had the baby yesterday but that's a big bump"...that was a tweet. what? really? are you fucking kidding me?

i seriously hope every single one of you stupid women remembers your own words the day after you give birth...do you have any idea of what it's like to hear that? of course, i'm reacting from personal experience. my mom made the same comment to me the day after i had my son.(and she's obviously had kids)... in indonesia, three months later, a water vendor made that same callous comment to me- another one coming? i haven't forgotten either of those remarks. it's been 13 years. maybe my post-partum depression amplifed every one of those words and drove them into me like razors...maybe not.

most of these tweets are coming from women runners -- i expect more from you. we need to build each other up. we work so hard to be fit and none of that matters sometimes as we emerge from giving birth. we can let everything tear us down. we can fixate on the stretch marks, the flabby skin, the saggy breasts, the whatever fault we decide to obsess about and miss the entire bigger picture...

mean-hearted bitches, i hope you get yours.

  2. OH MY GOSH I 100% agree!
Women should build each other up not bring each other down. Imagine how far we could go if we just supported each other?

  3. Exactly! You are so dead-on with every single point.

  4. holy straight shooter! Love it.
gotta ask: Would you be up for a chat? I'm part of a network that is supporting women to build each other up (and do so with as much sass and straight shooting as you do!) -- and all through the perspective of sports like running.
We're looking for women like you to give it to women straight, and also fire them up, for a few of our forums online.
Have any interest for a bit?
    Onward and upward, always!
